When a head gasket change is carried out it is recommended that the following should be changed also:

  • Cylinder Head stretch bolts (if your vehicle specifies)
  • Thermostat is changed, due to overheating it may not be operating correctly.
  • Gaskets for inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, rocker cover, thermostat etc.
  • Coolant - Necessary
  • Oil & Filter - Necessary
  • Timing/ Cam Belt is changed due to good practice it is not wise to use an old belt
